Jesse's History pt. 3Chapter 3:Jesse's History pt. 3 by mighty-mando
It’s been almost three months since Geonosis, and I can still hear those bugs clicking and fluttering just outside my range of vision. We lost almost half of our commando force to the Jedi’s inability. That means there’s more work for those of us who are still alive. We’ve been recalled to Coruscant to assist in eradicating a terrorist cell. Not the prettiest job, but still, Sergeants Vau and Skirata are there. It’ll be nice to see some familiar faces again.

Coruscant: Three months after the battle of Geonosis
Jesse sat slouched in a booth along one of the windowed walls of the Kragget diner, her boots propped up on the sticky table, nursing a cup of caf and flipping disinterestedly through a list

“They're doing what?” Jesp asked in disbelief.
“They're going after the Separatist commander who is responsible for the slaver operation here.” Niklos answered impassively as he examined his screen, apparently unaware of Jesp's distress.
“And they're just going to leave us behind?”
“On a mercy mission, yes.” Niklos said idly. “We're going to help the locals rebuild until they're back on their feet or the General returns with the others.”
“Can't you detach a unit to go with them?” Jesp asked.
Niklos shook his head. “The General specifically said he doesn't want any of our troops along for the ride. He doesn't want to risk blowing their cover.”
Jesp scowled. “They could still take a team with them and—“
“Captain,” Niklos said harshly as he looked up at Jesp finally. “I understand you have a special relationship with

The Guardian's largest recreation room had been taken over by a horde of clones made up of the Guardian's crew and members of the 13th Assault Corps as well as the remnants of General Guo-Jia's command. They were abuzz with excitement and understandably so, it wasn't every day that two non-clone commanders squared off against one another. It helped that both were female! Captains Jesp and Kil stood besides one another nervously watching as Commander Nokta and General Guo-Jia faced one another across the mat, neither captain looked particularly pleased with the situation, not that either officer voiced their concern.
“There's still a chance to back out.” Aira-ty said as she readied herself.
Guo-Jia laughed heartily, taking up a broad fighting stance as she smiled at the other woman.
“Oh please, you might scare the crap outta the troops with that tough mandalorian attitude of yours but I'm not intimidated.”

We shipped out today. It was fast; lightning fast. They got us out of bed, put rifles in our hands, and loaded us on ships before we knew what had happened. Six-two complained that we hadn’t even had breakfast yet. I’m beginning to agree with him. Nobody’s talking about it, but the rapid deployment hit us all pretty hard. We didn’t even get to say good-bye.

Kamino: Morning of the Battle of Geonosis
Jesse rolled off her bunk and onto the floor with a thud. She scrambled to her feet, yawned, stretched, and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Pulling on her boots, she stumbled sleepily out of her room and into the hall to meet Delta on their way to the mess hall. She broke off mid-yawn. The corridor was
