The Art of Deception
(Based off of the Darth Bane Trilogy by Drew Karpyshyn.)
After examining a few more items from the chest, all of them related to the Sith Lord, Exar Kun, Zannah and Cognus retired for the night, wanting to research their new findings more thoroughly at a time when both master and apprentice weren’t needed at the senate or had other arrangements. Unfortunately for Zannah, she had another arrangement to attend. In the following morning, Zannah was to attend Heather’s wedding and there was no backing out of it. Zannah was Heather’s maid of honor.
Zannah left the mansion in the early part of the morning in landspeeder taxi, leaving Cognus to study certain manuscripts that belonged to other Sith Lords or were written by Darth Bane. As the landspeeder took her the place where the wedding was to take place, Zannah poured herself into the plans of Exar Kun’s double-bladed lightsaber. Some of the functions of Kun

The fleet blurred with pseudo-motion as it dropped out of hyperspace in Achilleas' orbit, beyond the planet's debris rings and moons. Arrayed around a trio of Venator star destroyers and two victory star destroyers, the smaller ships readied themselves for combat around their larger brethren. Within the flagship Guardsman a meeting was being held by General Luminara and her officers.
“Initial scans indicate defensive batteries and garrisons have been positioned on the three moons. The closest moon to the fleet is this barren moon. Scans indicate minor mining operations in addition to the military assets. This will be our first target. A single legion should be able to secure the moon while the remaining three legions concentrate on the remaining two moons. They have much larger settlements including a handful of city-sized habitats. Both of these moons have breathable atmosphere and close to standard gravity. The ba

Ahsoka placed the platter of stinking food on the table in front of a family of Gamorreans. Why anyone would actually order food smelling like that was beyond her but they seemed to like it. I should just be glad I have this job. It hadn't taken Ahsoka long to realize Jedi didn't have many marketable skills in he civilian world, and at her age, finding a job had been even harder.
Ahsoka headed back toward the kitchen. Hopefully, the next customers would want something vaguely edible.
A man, his head covered by some sort of cloth, stood in her way. Ahsoka tried to duck past him but he blocked her. He gave her a lopsided smile that he probably thought was dashing. At least he's not as ugly as the one last week. That one had been so annoying Ahsoka had been tempted to use her lightsaber.
"So, when do you get off work?" Something about the way the man stood told Ahsoka he was dangerous, though he wasn't currently being aggressive.

Sugi sat down next to Ahsoka and looked at the sky where a Republic attack cruiser hovered, barely visible in the darkening sky. “You’re thinking about going back, aren’t you?”
Ahsoka sighed and looked at her hands. “I don’t know.” Part of her wanted to radio the cruiser, tell them she was ready to come back to the Order and fight beside Anakin but something told her Barriss’s last angry words had at least a grain of truth in them.
When Ahsoka looked at Sugi, she saw the Zabrak’s gaze focused on the human farmers in the valley below.
Sugi glanced up at the huge aircraft. “They are afraid of that Star Destroyer.”
Ahsoka stared at the cruiser through her electrobinoculars. "Star Destroyer? That's a Ventor-class attack
